A question about after wake up and old habits disappearing.

How does one recognize the old habits that are left by oneself?

The habit of ‘care’ I can break because you can see it.

Now with the suffering gone, life is much more easy going and I may easy delude myself.

Answer:

It's simple.

If you feel uncomfortable for no reason in your daily life, you are lost in thought. 

You can quickly see such uncomfortable thoughts, but good thoughts are not easily known because they are attached without knowing themselves. 

So knowing that good thoughts are not different from bad ones is the way out of the long habit.

It's a disease that comes to mind for no reason, and the moment you perceive it as a disease yourself, a good habit of letting go of the thought itself without being dragged into the content of the idea will naturally arise.

But literally old habits have been built up for almost a lifetime, so it takes your constant effort to some point.

That's the beginning of true meditation that can only be done after enlightenment.
