Bodhidharma

This rock is the rock of a cave where Dharma, the founder of the Zen Order, has been in the mountain for nine years, where Shaolin Temple of China is located, and his energy permeates and you can see him reflected on the rock.


The only reason I first visited Shaolin about 25 years ago was because there was "Bodhidharma".

When I first saw that rock in the wenshu's hall, I thought it was just a big rock.


After finding out that it was the trace of Bodhidharma, the spiritual teacher I had been looking for, I went back and forth between Korea and China to carefully clean the rock and meditate in front of it.


Looking back now, the rock is a rock like the first time I saw it, and his shadow on the rock was a trace of my obsession that my mind created with missing my master.


If we follow the pattern and trust the traces on the paper, they will be shown in writing, and they will be shown in pictures, which will further confuse us.


His word that everything comes from the mind is not anyone's but your mind. That's the only thing.

Question: Dear Nim, A question about after wake up and old habits disappearing. How does one recognize the old habits that are left by oneself? The habit of ‘care’ I can break because you can see it. Now with the suffering gone, life is much more easy going and I may easy delude myself. With kind regards, Answer: It's simple. If you feel uncomfortable for no reason in your daily life, you are lost in thought.  You can quickly see such uncomfortable thoughts, but good thoughts are not easily known because they are attached without knowing themselves.  So knowing that good thoughts are not different from bad ones is the way out of the long habit. It's a disease that comes to mind for no reason, and the moment you perceive it as a disease yourself, a good habit of letting go of the thought itself without being dragged into the content of the idea will naturally arise.
